At Bairn and Bear, we are committed to providing families with the tools and knowledge necessary to achieve potty training success. As a certified consultant I understand the challenges and frustrations that can come with this process, and I am here to offer support and guidance every step of the way. I am a certified potty training consultant, I trained with Settled Petals and I am registered with FEDANT (the Federation of Antenatal Educators). I also have certificates in counselling. My approach to potty training is a child-centred one, the welfare  of the child always comes first. A child-centred approach to potty training focuses on the needs and development of each individual child. I work with the family, together our focus is on the child. Together we do not work towards getting the child trained in X amount of days, instead we work towards training the child at a pace that  causes them minimal stress and anxiety. Every child is different and for some it will be a relatively quick process, but for others it will take a little longer. This is like any other milestone your child has reached in their life,  it needs to happen at their own pace. The health and happiness of the child is first and foremost.
